Cape Verde 1,000 Escudos Banknote, 1989, P-60, UNC, TAP 60-70 Authenticated

The Cape Verde 1,000 Escudos Banknote was issued by the Bank of Cape Verde in 1989. This brown banknote bears Portuguese text and was printed by Thomas De La Rue and Company Ltd. Its obverse features independence movement leader Amilcar Cabral. The reverse of the note depicts pierid butterflies and a desert locust. The banknote contains a registration device in the form of an ear of corn, a solid security thread with printed BCV, and a watermark that reveals Amilcar Cabral.
