Cape Verde 1,000 Escudos Banknote, 1992, P-65as, UNC, Specimen

This uncirculated 1,000 Cape Verdean escudo banknote is a specimen banknote issued by the Bank of Cape Verde that is dated 5 June 1992 and signed by Bank Governor Oswaldo Miguel Sequeira and Finance Minister Jose Tomas Wahnon Veiga. It is a brown note that measures 143 mm x 67 mm. Both sides of the banknote contain a diagonal red ESPECIME overprint. Its obverse side shows the Cape Verde swamp warbler bird (Acrocephalus brevipennis keulemans). Its reverse side is vertically oriented and shows Pierid butterflies and a desert locust (Schistocerca gregaria). Security features include a solid security thread with printed BCV, an all-zero serial number, and a watermark of Amilcar Cabral.
