This uncirculated 1,000 Cape Verdean escudo banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by Banco de Cabo Verde. It is a purple, blue, green, and yellow banknote that is dated 25 September 2007 (106th birthday of Antonio Aurelio Goncalves), bear the signatures of Manuel Pinto Frederico and Carlos Augusto de Burgo, and measures 136 mm long and 66 mm wide. Both sides of the banknote are vertically oriented and use Portuguese text. Its obverse side features the writer and professor Antonio Aurelio Goncalves, a medallion made of dragon tree leaves, and a holographic inkwell with a quill. Its reverse side depicts the landscape of Chanzinha on the island of Sao Nicolau. Security features include a hand-with-pen registration device, a solid security thread, a 4-mm wide windowed security thread with a demetalized BCV 1000, and a watermark of Antonio Aurelio Goncalves with an electrotype 1000. The details of this banknote have been verified and TAP Authenticated  with a grade of 60-70.
