This uncirculated 1,000 Cape Verdean escudo banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by Banco de Cabo Verde. It is a blue, purple, green, yellow, and pink banknote that is dated 5 July 2014, bear the signatures of Manuel Pinto Frederico and Carlos Augusto de Burgo, and measures 136 mm x 66 mm. Its obverse side features a holographic patch with musical notes and a bird in flight, the seashore, an embossed bird, and a portrayal of composer and musician Code de Dona (Gregorio Vaz) playing the accordion. Its reverse side depicts a bird in flight, a musician playing a ferrinho, and the sun. Security features include a 4-mm wide windowed security thread with a demetalized BCV 1000 and a watermark of Code de Dona with an electrotype vine and Cornerstones.
