The Cape Verde 2,000 Escudos specimen banknote was issued by the Bank of Cape Verde in 1999. The purple banknote is in a vertical orientation and bears Portuguese text. Its obverse features Amilcar Cabral. The reverse depicts the Palacio da Assembleia Nacional Popular (Palace of National Assembly) building and a flag. It also shows the coat of arms of Cape Verde and an ear of corn. It has a solid security thread with printed BCV. Its watermark reveals Amilcar Cabral. It is 150 x 67 mm in size and is signed by Amaro Alexandre da Luz and Pedro Verona Rodrigues Pires. This specimen banknote is in uncirculated condition.
