The Cape Verde 200 Escudos specimen banknote was issued by the Bank of Cape Verde in 2014. It has a color combination of red, purple, and yellowish-green and is printed on polymer. Its obverse side contains a map of Fogo, a bunch of grapes, an embossed pen nib, a diagonal red SPECIMEN overprint, a horizontal red # overprint, an all-zero serial number, and a portrait of doctor and writer Henrique Teixeira de Sousa. Its reverse side shows a bunch of grapes, the Pico do Fogo stratovolcano, and a diagonal red SPECIMEN overprint. Because it is a polymer note, it does not have a security thread or a watermark. It is 124 mm x 63 mm and is signed by Bank Administrator Manuel Pinto Frederico and Bank Governor Carlos Augusto de Burgo. This specimen banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
