This uncirculated 1,000 Cape Verdean escudo banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Bank of Cape Verde. It is a brown banknote that is dated 20 January 1977, bear the signatures of Amaro Alexandre da Luz and Corentino Virgilio Santos, and measures 152 mm x 76 mm. Its obverse side shows an electric lamp in the shape of a plant, the national coat of arms, a pano cloth pattern, and a portrait of Amilcar Cabral. Its reverse side depicts men in a cornfield hauling a rock atop a wall with ropes and wooden poles and a banana stalk. Security features include a solid security thread and a watermark of Amilcar Cabral. The banknote was withdrawn in 1989.
