This uncirculated 2,500 Cape Verdean escudo banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Bank of Cape Verde. It is a purple banknote that is dated 20 January 1989, bear the signatures of Pedro Verona Rodrigues Pires and Amaro Alexandre da Luz, and measures 150 mm x 67 mm. Its obverse side shows a portrait of Amilcar Cabral. Its reverse side depicts a view of the Palacio da Assembleia Nacional Popular (Palace of National Assembly building) and the national coat of arms. Security features include a solid security thread with printed BCV, an ear of corn registration device, and a watermark of Amilcar Cabral. The note was withdrawn in 2006.
