The Cayman Islands 1 Dollar Banknote was issued by the Cayman Islands Currency Board under the 1974 law. This blue banknote features Queen Elizabeth II on its obverse. It also shows an open treasure chest and the coat of arms of the Cayman Islands. The reverse depicts a coral reef and fish. It has a solid security thread and a watermark that reveals a turtle.
