The Central African States 500 Franc banknote was released in 2000 by the Bank of Central African States with a letter code C for Congo. The banknotes obverse features zebu cattle, a watering hole, the map of the Central African States, and an in-profile portrait of a shepherd wearing a hat. The banknotes reverse depicts a baobab tree, antelopes, and a Kota mask. The note is 140 x 75 mm in size and comes in dark brown with hints of gray. It is composed of paper with underprint in multicolor. This particular banknote has been given a grade of 67 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
