This uncirculated 10 centisimo de escudo note from Chile is part of the provisional escudo series issued in 1960 after the escudo replaced the peso. The 10 Centisimos de Escudo denomination was printed over an unused 100 Chilean peso note. It is a red and olive green note that bears the signatures of Sergio Molina Silva and Francisco Ibañez Barcelo. Its obverse side features Captain Agustin Arturo Prat Chacon. Its reverse side shows the bank seal and the red overprint with the denomination. Though the note does not have a security thread, it has a watermark of Diego Portales.
