This uncirculated 50 Chilean escudo banknote is a standard circulation banknote introduced by the Central Bank of Chile in 1962 as part of the F series. It is a green and brown banknote that bears the signature of Eduardo Cano Quijada and Carlos Molina Orrego, and measures 176 mm x 82 mm. Its obverse side contains a portrait of former president Arturo Fortunato Alessandri Palma in a jacket and tie. Its reverse side contains the coat of arms of Costa Rica and the Banco Central de Chile headquarters building in Santiago.
