The China 1 Yuan banknote is part of the Mao Issues of the People’s Bank of China released in 1999. The banknote has hints of green, violet, yellow, and light blue. Its obverse features the coat of arms of the People’s Republic of China, orchid flowers, and a portrait of Mao Zedong. The reverse of the banknote illustrates Three Ponds Mirroring the Moon on West Lake in Hangzhou. The banknote does not contain a security thread but has a watermark that shows an orchid and an electrotype 1. The note measures 130 x 63 mm and is in uncirculated condition. It has also been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
