This uncirculated 1,000 Colombian peso oro note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Bank of the Republic of Colombia. It is a blue and brown note that is dated 01 January 1987, bear the signatures of Francisco Jose Ortega and Roberto Salazar Manrique, and measures 140 mm x 70 mm. Its obverse side features the Puente de Boyaca (Boyaca Bridge), an eternal flame, and a portrait of Simon Bolivar. Its reverse side shows the Liberty head bank seal, horceback lanceros, and the statue of Los Heroes de Pantano de Vargas (The Heroes of Vargas Swamp) by Rodrigo Arenas Betancur. Security features include a solid security thread, a solid security thread with printed BRC 1000, and a watermark of Simon Bolivar.
