Reviews:

The Colombia 10,000 Pesos Oro with a pick number P-437 was issued by the Bank of the Republic in 1993-1994 to commemorate the 500th year of Christopher Columbus expedition. The banknotes obverse features an Embera Indian woman. Two sailing ships, a plant, a gold figure, and a plate are also visible on the front of the note. The banknotes reverse depicts the 1507 world map of Martin Waldseemuller. Also displayed on the note are various birds, namely, a greater flamingo, an Andean condor, a honeycreeper, a tunki or an Andean cock-of-the-rock, a macaw, a hoatzin, a scarlet ibis, a yellow-hooded blackbird, and a tanager. Other birds shown are a white pelican, a frigatebird, a keel-billed toucan, a baltimore oriole, a scarlet macaw, a parrot, and a cardinal. The back of the note also displays the cornucopia bank logo and the Santa Maria sailing vessel of Cristobal Colon. The 140 x 70 mm paper bill bears two solid security threads: one is plain and the other is printed BRC 10000. It also has a watermark reflecting an Embera woman. This Columbia 10,000 Pesos Oro comes in uncirculated condition and TAP authenticated. Furthermore, it carries the serial number Serial # 01750612.
