The Colombia 100,000 Pesos Banknote was issued by the Bank of the Republic in 2019. This green banknote features a Sietecueros blossom in green-to-blue SPARK Orbit and Carlos Lleras Restrepo. It also shows El Bachiller Perez y Hefestos (the pseudonym used by Lleras during his time as a journalist). The reverse of the note depicts wax palms in Valle de Cocora in Quindio. The reverse also a barranquero bird, the bank seal that depicts the Liberty’s head, and Luis Vidales’ poem about a wax palm. The banknote contains a solid security thread and a yellow-to-green windowed security thread with demetallized BRC and a bird. The note’s watermark reflects Carlos Lleras Restrepo and an electrotype 100. It also contains registration devices that show a barranquero bird and BRC. The note measures 153 x 66 mm. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
