The Colombia 2,000 Pesos Banknote is part of the Bank of the Republic’s 2019 issues. The obverse of the note depicts artist Debora Arango Perez. It also shows lechoso tree leaves and fruits in cooper-to-green Optically Variable Ink, 13 de junio, and La bailarina Guillermina. The reverse of the note depicts Cano Cristales, the beautiful river of five colors in the Sierra de la Macarena. It also displays various birds in flight, the Liberty head bank seal, and a text of an interview with Debora Arango Perez from the book Debora en plural. The banknote contains a Fuschia-to-green windowed security thread with demetallized BRC and birds. It also contains a watermark that reveals Debora Arango Perez and an electrotype 2. The note also bears a registration device in the form of the bird from Perez’s painting “Las Monjas y El Cardenal”. It is signed by Juan Jose Echavarria Soto and Marcela Ocampo. The note is 128 x 66 mm in size. This particular paper is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
