The Colombia 2,000 Pesos Oro is part of the family of banknotes issued in 1992 by the Central Bank of Colombia with a pick number P-433Aa.1. The obverse of the note depicts a woman carrying a suckling baby and a man kneeling in front of Simon Bolivar holding a paper. It also bears a portrait of “El Libertador'' or The Liberator Simon Bolivar wearing a military uniform. The back of the banknote features a painting by Francisco Antonio Cano "Paso Del Paramo de Pisba”. The Liberty head bank logo is shown on the top of the banknote while a document is displayed on the bottom right. The 140 x 70 mm paper banknote has a registration device in the form of the heraldic shield. Furthermore, the bill has a watermark that reflects Simon Bolivar. It also has two solid security threads. One security thread is plain while the other carries a BRC 2000 print. This particular Colombia 2,000 Pesos Oro is in uncirculated condition and has been authenticated by the Banknote World’s TAP authentication program.
