The 2015 Colombia 20,000 Peso banknote with a pick number P-461a is part of the series issued by the Banco de la Republica Colombia highlighting prominent figures in the fields of culture, science, and politics. Its obverse features on the center the 24th president of Colombia, Alfonso Lopez Michelsen standing, bringing a hat. On the right is his portrait while he was giving a speech. It also depicts a sugar-apple presented in green-to-blue SPARK orbit and the denomination in dark green-to-light green OVI. The banknotes reverse displays a turned hat and a farmer wearing a hat with a sheaf of cana flecha on his shoulder. In the background are canals at La Mojana which is home to Zenu people. A poem by Benjamin Puche Villadiego about sombrero vueltiao and the Liberty head bank logo is visible on the upper right of the note. The 143x 66 mm paper bill comes with a solid security thread and a yellow-to-green windowed security thread with a demetalized BRC and Zenu earring. The banknote also bears a watermark that reflects Alfonso Lopez Michelsen and an electrotype 20. Additionally, it has BRC and Zenu earring registration devices. This particular banknote has been given a grade of 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
