Reviews:

The Colombia 5,000 Pesos was issued in 2012 by the Bank of the Republic. On the banknote’s obverse is a portrait of Colombian poet Jose Asuncion Silva, a frog on a lily pad, and a winged termite. Trees are also shown in the background. The back of the note centers a moonlit night scene in a grove with a woman and a pedestal that reflects a microprinted excerpt from Silva’s poem “Nocturno”. The Liberty head bank logo is also portrayed on the banknote’s reverse. The 140 x 70 mm paper bill comes with two solid security threads: one is plain and the other is with a demetalized BRC 5000. The banknote’s watermark includes an image of Jose Asuncion Silva. This specific Colombia 5,000 Pesos is in uncirculated condition and has been authenticated by the Banknote World’s TAP authentication experts.
