Colombia 5,000 Pesos Banknote, 2015, P-459a, UNC, TAP 60-70 Authenticated

The 5,000 Colombian Peso Banknote from 2015 was issued to pay tribute to major characters of the countrys culture, science, and politics. Its obverse side features a portrait of Colombian poet Jose Asuncion Silva. A bumblebee and BRC as a registration device, a Puya plant in cooper-to-green OVI, and the denomination in dark brown-to-light brown OVI are also printed on the front design. Its reverse side features a spectacled bear walking on four legs, and an Andean condor bird flying above the mountainous landscape of Paramos de Colombia Fuentes de Agua with Frailejon plants. The Liberty head bank seal, a bumblebee, and a poem titled Melancolia by Jose Asuncion Silva are also added to the back design. The security features of the note include a Fuschia-to-green windowed security thread with demetalized BRC and bumblebees and a watermark image of Jose Asuncion Silva and electrotype 5. The note is 133 x 66 mm in size. Additionally, this 5,000 Colombian Peso Banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
