Its obverse side contains Spanish text, the denomination in dark blue-to-light blue OVI, a Colibri piquicorto (Ramphomicron dorsale) hummingbird and flower in green-to-blue SPARK Orbit, and two portraits of Nobel Prize winner Gabriel Garcia Marquez—a close-up and a standing portrait with butterflies.
