The Comoros 10,000 Francs was released in 1997 by the Central Bank of Comoros. Unlike preceding issues, the note no longer bears the French numbering style. Its obverse has French text and portrays the Grand Moufti Al-Habib Said Omar Bin Soumeit on the left and a mosque in the background. The banknotes reverse is in Arabic and French. It features two seated women wearing blue kangas, weaving baskets. The gold-colored banknote is 170 x 85 mm in size and carries a segmented foil stripe. It also has a solid security thread and a watermark that shows four stars and a crescent moon. This Comoros 10,000 Francs comes in exceptional paper quality. It has also been given a grade of 68 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
