The Comoros 500 Francs with a pick number P-15a was issued in 2006. This particular paper bill comes in exceptional paper quality and has been graded 67 by the Paper Money Guaranty. Its obverse features a salt lake crater on the Grande Comore and a mongoose lemur which is also known as Eulemur mongoz. The note also shows a poem on its bottom left. The reverse of the note displays orchid flowers and a poem written by Comorian poet Mbaye Trambwe. The Comoros 500 Franc banknote is designed with a solid security thread with printed BCC and a watermark that reflects a crescent moon with BCC and electrotype stars. The banknote has dimensions of 120 x 66 mm and bears purple, blue, and green color schemes.
