The Congo 1,000 Francs was issued by the Central Bank of Congo in 2005 -2013 with a pick number P-101s. Featured on the banknotes obverse are two standing okapis and a Kanioka box with carvings of two seated humans and two lizards on the lid. The back of the note depicts an African parrot sitting on a tree branch. A field of corn is also visible. The 140 x 72 mm paper bill comes with a windowed security thread with a demetalized RD Congo. It also bears a watermark that shows an okapis head and an electrotype 1000 when held up to a light source. Additionally, the note carries a registration device that reflects a map and the countrys initials on the front, and a map and the banks initials on the back. This particular specimen paper bill comes in exceptional paper quality and has been graded 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
