The Democratic Republic of Congo 500 Francs issued in 2002 with a pick number P-96s features on its obverse the monogram logo of the Central Bank of Congo. It also depicts a man raising a pick ax and two men holding a pan, looking for diamonds. A diamond design is also shown as an underprint. On the right side are three diamonds lined up vertically. The reverse of the banknote illustrates diamond mining in a small valley with a river, trees, and a building. The banknote comes with a solid security that has a demetalized REP DEM DU CONGO. It also has a watermark that reflects the head of an okapi. Additionally, the 150 x70 mm banknote carries a diamond-shaped registration device with a 5-pointed star design. This particular specimen of the Democratic Republic of Congo 500 Franc banknote is in uncirculated condition.
