This uncirculated 500 Congolese franc note was issued by the Central Bank of Congo in 2010 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Congolese independence from Belgium. It bears the signature of Central Bank Governor Jean-Claud Masangu Mulongo. Its obverse side portrays a view of the Port de Matadi. Its reverse side shows the Kinsuka Bridge and the 50th-anniversary logo. Security features include a solid security thread with demetalized REP DEM DU CONGO, a watermark of an Okapi head, and a registration device that shows the map of Congo.
