It bears the signature of Central Bank Governor Jean-Claud Masangu Mulongo. Its obverse side portrays a view of the Port de Matadi. Its reverse side shows the Kinsuka Bridge and the 50th-anniversary logo. Security features include a solid security thread with demetalized REP DEM DU CONGO, a watermark of an Okapi head, and a registration device that shows the map of Congo.
