The Cook Islands 3 Dollar banknote was released in 1987 by the Government of the Cook Islands primarily to gain income from numismatic sales. The banknotes obverse features the nude Ina holding a coconut riding on a shark through ocean waves. The reverse of the note depicts a carved statue of the god of Te-Rongo with the penis. The note also shows a pukapuka fishing canoe and native designs. The 150 x 75 mm paper bill has no security thread and no watermarks. This particular Cook Islands 3 Dollar banknote has been given a grade of 67 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
