Cook Islands 3 Dollars Banknote, 1987 ND, P-3a, UNC, Stains

The Cook Islands 3 Dollars with a pick number P-3a was issued by the Government of the Cook Islands in 1987 primarily to raise income from numismatic sales. The banknotes obverse features the naked Ina riding on a shark amidst ocean waves with a coconut in her hands. The banknotes reverse depicts a pukapuka fishing canoe, native designs, and a carved statue of the god of Te-Rongo with penis. The banknote bears no security threads and no watermarks but it carries the signature of the Minister of Finance Thomas Davis. The note is 150 x 75 mm and is predominantly in green.
