This TAP Authenticated note is a specimen of the 1,000 Costa Rican colon note that was part of the D series. Its obverse side contains Spanish text and a portrait of Tomas Soley Guell, a Costa Rican economist. Its reverse side depicts the Instituto Nacional de Seguros building in San Jose. The note has a windowed security thread with demetalized 1000 BCCR and a Tomas Soley Guell watermark. The note is 156 mm long and 67 mm wide.
