The Costa Rica 1,000 Colones Banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Costa Rica in 2004. The red banknote bears Spanish text. Its obverse features Costa Rican politician and economist Tomas Soley Guell. The reverse depicts the National Insurance Institute building in San Jose (Instituto Nacional de Seguros) and a diamond. The note contains a windowed security thread with demetallized 1000 BCCR. Its watermark reveals Tomas Soley Guell. It is 156 x 67 mm in size and is signed by Francisco de Paula Gutierrez and Roy Gonzalez Rojas. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition.
