The Costa Rica 1,000 Colones Banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Costa Rica in 2005. The red banknote features historian Tomas Soley Guell on its obverse. The reverse of the paper bill depicts the National Insurance Institute Building in San Jose and a diamond design. The banknote comes with a windowed security thread with a demetallized 1000 BCCR and a watermark that reveals Tomas Soley Guell. The banknote is 156 x 67 mm in size and is in uncirculated condition. It has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
