Customer reviews

The Costa Rica 1,000 Colones Banknote from 2012 is part of the 2009 2015 series. Its design is based upon the original drawings by illustrator Fernando Zeledon, with embossed dots above the watermark areas to assist the sight-impaired. The obverse side features a portrait of former President Braulio Carrillo Colina, a map of Costa Rica on a see-through leaf, and the original ESTADO DE COSTA RICA shield. The reverse side features a dry forest landscape in Guanacaste, pitahaya cactus flowers, trees, white-tailed deer, and scorpions. The note is 125 x 67 mm in size and contains a Simulated security thread, and watermark image of leaves, to enhance its security features.
