Its obverse features Costa Rican politician Braulio Carrillo Colina and the State of Costa Rica coat of arms. It also shows the outline map of the country in color-changing ink. The reverse depicts a white-tailed deer, a Guanacaste tree, and a Costa Rican Pitahaya cactus flower with a dry forest in the background. It has a simulated security thread. It has a clear window watermark with a patterned design and a portrait of Braulio Carrillo Colina. The note measures 125 x 67 mm and is signed by Rodrigo Cubero Brealey and Eduardo Prado Zuniga. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
