The Costa Rica 10,000 Colones Banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Costa Rica in 2009. This green specimen banknote bears Spanish text. Its obverse features Jose Figueres Ferrer, the abolition of the army, a soldier with a rifle, and a map of Costa Rica in Optically Variable Ink. The reverse depicts a rainfall forest, an orchid flower, a mushroom cup, a three-toed sloth, and birds. The banknote contains a Motion windowed security threat and a solid security thread. It also has a watermark that reflects Jose Figueres Ferrer and an electrotype 10000. The banknote is 146 x 67 mm in size. This specimen banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated.
