This 100 Costa Rican Colon banknote is a specimen of the E series 100 colon note that is part of the family of banknotes issued by the Central Bank of Costa Rica in 1975. It has black, aqua, and orange colors. Its obverse side features Ricardo Jimenez Oreamuno, a three-time Costa Rican president and one of the best lawyers in Costa Rican history. Its reverse side depicts the Supreme Court building in San Jose. This note has a solid security thread with printed CIEN COLONES and a watermark of a BCCR 100 pattern. The note is 156 mm long and 67 mm wide. Because this note is a specimen, it has a diagonal red MUSTRA SIN VALOR overprint on both sides and an all-zero serial number. This note is in uncirculated condition and TAP Authenticated by Banknote World experts.
