Reviews:

The Costa Rica 2,000 Colones Banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Costa Rica in 2009. The blue specimen banknote bears a diagonal red MUESTRA SIN VALOR overprint on both the front and back. The obverse side honors Mauro Fernandez Acuna, the man who reformed Costa Rican education, and the Colegio Superior de Senoritas, the first secondary school for women and one of the schools founded by Acuna. Its reverse side depicts a bull shark swimming in a colorful coral reef. Security features of the banknote include a map of Costa Rica in optically variable ink, a windowed security thread with demetalized BCCR 2000, and a watermark of Acuna and electrotype 2000. The banknote is 132 mm by 67 mm in size. This particular specimen banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated.
