The Costa Rica 20,000 Colones Banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Costa Rica in 2012. The banknote is predominantly orange. Its obverse side shows a fox and a hare, a map of Costa Rica in OVI, and a portrait of Maria Isabel Carvajal (Carmen Lyra). Its reverse side depicts a Chispita hummingbird (Selasphorus flammula) flying over a field with papelillo flowers. Security features include a motion windowed security thread, a solid security thread, and a watermark of Carmen Lyra with an electrotype 20000. It is 153 mm x 67 mm and is signed by Rodrigo Bolaños Zamora and Felix Delgado Quesada. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
