It bears the signatures of Board of Directors President Hernan Garron Salazar and Bank Manager Claudio A. Volio Guardia, and the date 24 de Mayo de 1971 (24th of May, 1971). Its obverse side contains Spanish text, the Guarianthe skinneri orchidsthe national flower of Costa Rica, and the portrait of Rafael Anselmo Jose Yglesias Castrothe 16th President of Costa Rica. Its obverse side depicts Aleardro Villas The Allegory of Coffee and Banana mural in the Teatro Nacional building. The note does not have a security thread nor a watermark. However, it measures 156 mm long and 67 mm wide.
