This uncirculated 5 Costa Rican colon note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Central Bank of Costa Rica. It is an olive green, purple, orange, red, brown, and blue note that is dated 03 April 1991, bears the signatures of Carlos Hernandez Rodriguez and Alvaro Trejos Fonseca, and measures 156 mm x 67 mm. Its obverse side features President Rafael Anselmo Jose Yglesias Castro and Guarianthe skinneri orchids (national flower). Its reverse side shows coffee and bananas being laden on ships at dock, from Aleardo Villa’s 1897 painting in the National Theater (Teatro Nacional).
