The Costa Rica 500 Colones was issued in 1979-1985 with a pick number P-249s. Featured on the right of its obverse is composer and musician Manuel Maria Gutierrez Flores who authored the music for the National Anthem of Costa Rica. The reverse of the note displays the National Theater building located in San Jose. The purple orange-colored banknote is 156 x 67 mm in size and is made of paper. Its security attributes include a solid security thread with BCCR 500 print and a watermark that consists of a BCCR 500 pattern. This specimen banknote is in uncirculated condition and TAP Authenticated by Banknote World experts.
