The Cyprus 10 Pounds Banknote is from the 1997-2005 series which retained the old design but added a new security thread. The front side shows the Romanera marble head of Artemis found in Paphos as well as the map and coat of arms of Cyprus. The back shows a green turtle (Chelonia mydas), a Cyprus mouflon (Ovis gmelini ophion), Cyprus warbler birds (Sylvia melanothorax), a cyclamen (Cyclamen cyprium), a Paphos blue butterfly (Glaucopsyche paphos) and a tulip flower (Tulipa cypria). It measures 156 x 76 mm and has shades of green, blue, purple, orange, and brown.
