Cyprus 500 Mils Banknote, 1979, P-42c.2, UNC

The Cyprus 500 Mils was issued by the Central Bank of Cyprus in 1979 with a pick number P-42c. Its obverse depicts an ace motif which was taken from carved wooden caskets found in Sendoukia. On the right is the country’s emblem illustrating a dove carrying an olive branch. A stylized flower and the map of Cyprus are also visible. Additionally, the banknote’s obverse bears a border of birds. Its reverse features a road which leads to the mountain with trees and stone walls on each side. The note is bordered with flower designs. The 140 x 84 mm paper bill has a solid security thread and a watermark that consists of the head of an eagle. This particular Cyprus 500 Mils is in uncirculated condition.
