The Djibouti 5,000 Francs is part of the 2002 ND issues which was released by the National Bank of Djibouti with a pick number P-44. The banknotes obverse carries a close-up image of Prime Minister Mahamoud Harbi and the headquarters building of the bank. The reverse of the purple banknote three girls wearing native costumes holding swords. In the background are rock outcroppings.
