This uncirculated 5,000 Ecuadorian sucre is part of the AÑ series dated 12 July 1999 and signed by Luis I. Jacome Hidalgo, Ivan Ayala Reyes, and Jorge Egas Peña. It is a brown, orange, and blue note that measures 156 mm x 67 mm. Its obverse side features Ecuadorean author Juan Montalvo and the coat of arms of the Tungurahua Province. Its reverse side highlights the wildlife of the Galapagos Islands, including the flightless cormorant, the Galapagos penguin, and the Galapagos tortoise.
