This uncirculated 1 Egyptian pound note is dated 23 December 2003 and signed by Central Bank of Egypt Governor Farouk Abd El Baky El Okda. It is a brown, yellow, pink, and green note that measures 140 mm x 70 mm. Its obverse side features the mosque and the mausoleum of Sultan Qayetbay at the Mamluks cemetery in Cairo. Its reverse side shows the four statues of Rameses II from the Great Temple at Abu Simbei, the Luxor Temple of Amenophis II, and the name of Rameses II and Nefertari in cartouches. Security features include a solid security thread with demetalized denomination and a watermark of the mask of King Tut-Ankh-Amon.
