The Egypt 1 Pound banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Egypt in 2017. The obverse of the paper bill features the mosque and mausoleum of Sultan Qayetbay at the Mamluks cemetery located in Cairo. The back of the note depicts birds and shapes from the structure established by Ramesses II at the facade of the Luxor Temple of Amenophis II, Nefertaris's name in a cartouche, seated statues of Ramesses II taken from the Great Temple at Abu Simbel, and the name of Ramesses in a cartouche. The paper bill is 140 x 70 mm in size and has a watermark that reveals the mask of King Tut-Ankh-Amon. It also has a windowed motion security thread. This Egyptian 1 Pound banknote bears the prefix 592 and a radar serial number. It is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
