This uncirculated 10 Egyptian piastre banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Egyptian Government under Law 50/1940. It is a light blue, violet, and orange banknote that measures 118 mm x 62 mm and bears the signatures of Mohay Eldin Elghareeb and Farouk Abd El Baky El Okda. Its obverse side contains a panel with “The Arab Republic of Egypt” inscribed in Arabic text and a view of the pyramids and the Great Sphinx of Giza. Its reverse side shows the Muhammed Ali Pasha Mosque (Alabaster Mosque) in Cairo. Though the note does not have a security thread, it has a watermark of the mask of King Tutankhamun’s mummy.
