The Egypt 10 Piastres Banknote was issued by the Arab Republic of Egypt between 1998 and 2002 under the 1940 law. It has a color combination of light blue, violet, and orange. Its obverse features a panel inscribed the “The Arab Republic of Egypt in Arabic. It also shows the pyramids and the Great Sphinx of Giza. The banknote’s reverse depicts the Muhammad Ali Pasha mosque, which is also known as Alabaster mosque in Cairo. It also displays The Arab Republic of Egypt in English. The note does not contain a security thread but bears a watermark that reveals the mask of King Tutankhamun’s mummy. The banknote is 118 x 62 mm in size and is signed by Mohay Eldin El Ghareeb. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition.
