The 100 Egyptian pound banknote of 2015 is part of the latest series of banknotes released by the Central Bank of Egypt. The front side of the note shows the Alabaster mosque (Muhammad Ali Pasha mosque) in Cairo. The back side of the note features the bas relief carvings showing the following scenes: a coronation of a pharaoh, an inauguration of a temple, and a pharaoh with an offering table; Rameses II getting ready to shoot an arrow atop a war chariot; and stylized papyrus flowers. The note has two security threads: a 1.5-mm wide solid security thread with the denomination in Arabic numerals in demetalized ink, and a 4-mm wide windowed thread with a demetalized 20, Egypts coat of arms, and 20 pounds in Arabic. The notes watermarks are Princess Nofret and an electrotype 20. The note measures 155 mm by 70 mm.
